First Stop Spain will sponsor the Paralympic athlete Javier Conde

Javier Conde has already achieved gold medals in Paralympic Games, World and European championships.

He is going to be the first Paralympic athlete to run all the marathons which are held in cities that will host Olympic Games and Paralympic Games in the next five years.

First Stop, the network of Professional Car Care Tyre centers, within its CSR activities, will sponsor Paralympic athlete Javi Conde for one more year. He has a successful track record which includes numerous medals: paralympics gold, world and European championships.

Javier Conde, who was present at all Paralympic events from Barcelona to Beijing (Barcelona 92, Atlanta 96, Sydney 2000, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008) participated in different tests (800mts, 1.500mts, 5.000mts, 10.000mts and Marathon), won seven gold medals, two silver and an eleventh place for the fifth entry. In addition, the athlete has achieved fourteen gold medals in different tests at the world championships, both individual and in a team. In the European Championships, his role has been equally memorable with the acquisition of four gold medals and one silver. Also, he has achieved the gold medal in several tests of the World Cup. Among his many honors there is the Gold Medal of the Royal Order of Sporting Merit given by Their Majesties, the King and Queen of Spain in 2009, and the Silver Medal of the Order in 1997.

In 2010, First Stop supports Javi Conde once again as a social initiative to work with Paralympic Games. Throughout his career, Javi Conde participated in marathons in Berlin, Atlanta, Sydney (taking the top spots in all three of them), Beijing and Barcelona. In Barcelona, home of the 1992 Olympic Games, he decided to start his new challenge - career as a Paralympic athlete.

The achievement of the athlete newly sponsored by First Stop has a social, dimension, as he donates 1,000 Euros per race to an NGO helping the poor.
